Calle sexta / 6th. Street

[Esp]

Transport Tj (part 2) [eng]

Travel in public transport can be a good experience to see a little more around the city, in these six points; we describe a little that you can find.

Cleansing: you can see unities very clean with smell of pine odor, the ones that need to replace the freshener. The cleansing of the units depends on the driver or from the unity owner. Also is better check on the seat before you sitting to avoid surprises. It is recommended not forget to bring a packet of tissues and your antibacterial gel.

Speed: the speed to the operator of the unity drives can vary in relation to time can go too fast or too slow or normal speed. So, if you take a bus and the bus goes too fast and you are stand up grab very well.

Sometimes looks like the units are competing each other but this have an economic explanation, that helps you a little to understand why they driver like that. The reason is that not all drivers are unit owners and they have to pay rent for use it and only have specific time for reunite the pay of the rent and make his own salary, in other words, more rounds in less time more benefit.

Noise or ambience sound: in the transport units, is commonly found that the operator put some music. The volume of the music can be too loud or normal.
Attitude of the driver or unit operator: the attitude depends on how it’s gone in the day, but always is good when you take the bus and say to the driver “Buenos días” (good morning) and “Gracias” (thanks) when you get off, this can change a little the attitude of the driver and his day.

Stops: although the stops are set, the transports units may go up and down where the passengers say. Some buses do not have the bell to indicate the stop, so you have to tell them (yell) where you get off in advance or scream classic "Bajan" (means you want to get off).

People: you can see urban street musicians or urban artist like clowns or singers, sometimes people that sell candies and people who make collecting some help for charitable causes. (This only sees at calafias and buses)

If you're one of those travelers, who like to experiment more locally a city, do not hesitate to jump on public transport at least if only a few blocks.

Who knows maybe you can find some similarities, or big differences about transport in your town or places you've visited.
